Linking all the amazing Amazon finds from Tatum’s gorgeous and groovy first birthday!! All links are at the bottom of this post.
Since Tatum was born at the end of May, I wanted to do a theme that had a warm, summery vibe that also fit her personality-- after all, she is the COOLEST chick I know. I went with ONE Groovy Girl, which was a take from "Groovy ONE" and "TWO Groovy"
I just liked the sound of it better and hadn't seen it used before.
I used two different balloon arch kits to get the colors that I wanted.
This one and this one. I purchased multiple hand held balloon pumps from target linked here, and then the night before, we had a wine and blow-up-balloon party 😂 My advice for ANYONE doing a balloon arch yourself is to have people willing to sit there and help blow them up. These things last forever, so if you don't have anyone to help, I suggest starting a few days in advance.
I used the same 'O N E' letters that I used for Sawyer's first birthday party, but decided to make them a little more boho and wrapped them in yarn. You can see how they were before in this blog post.
A project that I didn't think would take that long, that turned out to be very time consuming, ha! The exact colors and yarn that I used: this one, this one, and this one.
Fresh flowers from the Farmer's Market and cute little daisy cake toppers. Some other things you see here were things I've had around the house, like the vases, the cake stand (also used for Sawyer's party), and the picture. When hosting or throwing a party, I always look around my house to see if I can use anything within the theme.
The "1" was used at Sawyer's party, I just decided to spray paint it a muted color to match Tatum's theme. It was given to us by a friend for Sawyer's party and it actually used to be red.
I purchased blank acrylic cake toppers off amazon and hand painted it with acrylic paint. I used my cricut machine to cut out the vinyl for the cursive "one".
Tatum's so Groovy! Her outfit details are linked at the bottom of this post.
I heat pressed "One Groovy Girl" using my circut heat press and heat transfer vinyl. I cut out the words using my cricut machine, of course.
